Scaring
Moments (a little bit of silliness goes a long way)
I recently discovered one
of my husband’s scaring moments as a child. Here is his sad story.
I told my honey that I
needed to go out to get some things to make some cookies, before I could even
finish telling why, he yells out “Oh goodie, goodie” while clapping his hands emphatically ! I look at him and say “oh
love, I am sorry but they are for an event.” I raise my eye brows and widen my
eyes to try to look at adorable as possible ,while sharing the bad news. Then
his reply took me by surprise! His eyes narrow, his nose wrinkles, his voice
lowers, and he says “Noooooooooo, YOU
WOMEN ARE ALL THE SAME”!!! I look at him and ask “what are you talking about!?”
Then he goes on to tell me all the countless stories of coming home from school
and smelling cookies in the air only to be met by a sister (looking as sinister
as possible) stating that they were for her class etc. He re-enacted several
childhood stories like that, very dramatically, doing all the voices! I laughed
SO hard! (of course one always makes extra for the household, but they make a big deal of the cookies you give away!)
And it hit me; my brothers
most likely have similar “horror” stories of not getting to lick out the bowl,
or me only making cookies and deliciousness for events instead of their
deserving bellies! It is funny how they only remember the goodies that they are
denied, instead of all the countless goodness you make for them! There is the
sister’s point of view and the story is completely
different from the brother’s point of view! Just thought I would share some of the
very funny moments of life with an Ilgenfritz! My husband makes me laugh like no other! And I am thankful for it! Have a great day
everybody! Laugh a lot!
